Bucephalandra plants are still pretty rare in the aquarium hobby. They come in many shape and colour variations. A real treasure inside any aquarium.
The plants are rather easy when it comes to maintenance and can be grown emersed and submersed. It’s a perfect plant for beginners, however keep in mind that the plant is very slow growing, with new leaves sprouting from long, thin rhizomes.
Never put the rhizome in or under the soil, because it can make the plant rot. Instead you can attach the plant to a rock or wood by using fishing line, mosscotton or aquarium super glue.
